Customer Reviews

According to BodaciousTiffy:

This thing blows cold, it’s working great, looks great, I’m impressed. I use it to cool a bedroom when I don’t want to burn central air. So far so good let’s just hope it stays this way. Note: when it’s delivered you must keep it off for 2 hours before turning on. That allows the bubbles in the Freon to dissipate. Bubbles occur when the unit is either laid down or shaken. You never know what your air conditioner went through to get to your house. Allow it to sit a few hours before turning on. If you don’t allow it to sit before operating IT WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY! The remote has a great design never seen before. Wish it could be housed inside the unit to prevent it from being lost. It rather small. Overall it’s a great buy

Customer Reviews

According to Z. Greenwood:

I work at an electronics retail store that sells a lot of air conditioners, so I have had an opportunity to test most of them. Out of all the portable air conditioners on the market I found this to be the most sturdy and able to provide the best amount of cooling for the space it takes up. The best part about this unit is that you do not need to add water to it to get ice cold air. Unlike all other portable air conditioners, you dont needs to add any water to this unit, which is incredible convenient if you live in an apartment like I do. I bought one of these for my apartment and one for my parents last year and the units are working great. The one drawback is that this unit is very heave but the wheels help with that. I guess the weight is a good indicator of how well this unit is made, i expect it to last a long time.

Customer Reviews

Chet reviewed the air conditioner and has following things to say:

I read the reviews, good and bad. And bought two units. Couldn’t be happier. We live in a rented house. The old central A/C finally died after many years of service, limping along with repeated maintenance over the final two years. The landlord reluctantly replaced the central A/C — with a used unit that doesn’t do the job. 88 degrees F outside, set the central A/C to 72, the house stays around 77-79. Hot. I bought two of these B+D units to make up the difference. One for the living room, one for the back bedroom. After a month, not only are we comfortably cool, but our power bill has dropped as well. Yes, it has.

Customer Reviews

According to Mitsuko:

I have purchased several different brands of portable air conditioner . This is almost ideal. Only requires a single vent out the window (I’ve had dual hose). It is much smaller in size which means it takes up less space, so when entering the room it isn’t the first thing you see. I love that it is fully self evaporating; which means no inconvenient water tube to be emptied into a bucket every how many hours. It cools my bedroom which is approximately 12×15- temp about 90F hot and humid. No sticky humidity in my room either. Noise level, on par with other portables. Doesn’t stop my hubby from watching tv and falling asleep with the remote in his hand- same ole, same ole. lol Bottom line- I like it and so far, it’s great!

Customer Reviews

A customer named Coco has the following things to say:

This unit so far works amazing after installing it today. It cools down the entire apartment better than expected so I’m really happy with it and I’m just hoping it will last over the years and hold up because in some reviews I’ve seen that the portable units can break down easily and after all this is a refurbished unit. I’ll follow up later in the future if anything starts going out on this. I had to watch a few YouTube videos to install this on my own because i never had to done this before. My window panel is vertical. I’m a little skeptical about it in the window I placed it only because the neighbors kids tend to play outside and at times kick a ball into this window but this was the best place for the unit to be placed to get my entire apartment cooler as opposed to just my bedroom.

Customer Reviews

In the words of K. M. Hong:

We finally installed and turned on this baby for the very first time. San Francisco hit an unseasonably warm 80 degrees today. The window kit worked well for the most part. We had to cut out some Styrofoam to obtain the custom window fit we needed and also used window sealant to weatherstrip the small openings, but otherwise it was good to go. Bottom line? The unit delivers very cold, clean and filtered air conditioning in spades. We set the cooling thermostat at a very comfy 72 degrees. The unit had no problem reaching and maintaining this level, while also being relatively quiet in medium speed. Our living room and kitchen area was quite enjoyable and comfortable throughout the afternoon, while the outside was baking big time at an unseasonably hot 95 here in San Francisco on September 13th, 2019!! Overall, thus far, we are quite pleased with the unit’s performance. The Whynter 14,000 BTU AC unit delivered as advertised. We attached a few pictures of our unit in operation. Best regards.

Customer Reviews

According to Robert Siverling:

This AC unit works great…..has been now for about 100 hours. Set up is straight-forward and simple for anyone with low to moderate mechanical skills. For all products, I always desire less high-tech features, but I realize that most people like bells and whistles and the need to have controls that are more complex than the dashboard of a Boeing 747.

 Final Words

So, pick any one of the above-mentioned air conditioners and make your summers cool and comfortable.
