Welcome to View Auckland
View Auckland is a curated content publisher focusing on local news, events, opinions and digital guides. We believe in helping raise awareness for local brands, companies and causes.
We are a small outlet, most of our team consists of volunteers or budding students aiming to pursue a career in journalism. Not being owned by a giant corporate company allows us to focus on building smaller quality relationships with other brands instead of constantly chasing advertisers.
Who we are
A vibrant team of forward thinking people who share the same vision.
Each member of our team brings something different to the table, but we all share one thing in common, our love for Auckland.
What drives us
Content Team
Noel Thompson
Chief EditorBorn and bred in Auckland, did a little bit of travelling in my 20s mostly around Europe and Asia. I saw first hand what other people my age wanted from a thriving city. Came up with the idea of building a small independent online resource to promote local businesses and events...and here we are!

EditorProud mum, owner of a lovely Bichon Frise. I enjoy creating engaging content for our community, building lasting partnerships with local brands who share our love for Auckland. When I'm not working on View Auckland, I spend my time being a little bit crafty on Etsy, making anything from celebration cards to scarves!

Web DeveloperFather, dog owner, some people call me the Dog father. My kids would tell you, I'm full of dad jokes, I guess that proves it. I enjoy tinkering with things, whether that be cars, computers or websites. When I'm not working on new features for View Auckland, you'll find me fishing or hiking.
